How VelvetSearch makes money

Last updated September 2026

VelvetSearch is free to use, with an optional Pro subscription for extra features. We don't show ads, on any plan.

Affiliate links

Some of the links to retailers in VelvetSearch may be affiliate links. If you tap one and buy something, that retailer may pay us a small commission.

You pay the same price either way. The commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
Not every retailer has an affiliate program. Retailers without one are shown the same way as retailers with one.

Commission never affects what you see or the order you see it in.

How results are ranked

Results are ordered by how closely they match what you searched for, and by price. The part of VelvetSearch that ranks results has no access to commission information. Affiliate links are added only after results are ranked, at the moment you tap a link.

Retailers cannot pay to appear in results or to rank higher.
